British Columbia Partnerships
The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) created a partnership with Microsoft Corp in developing its TEALS (Technology, Education and Literacy in Schools) program. The program works with BC high school students to teach foundation computational skills for using a team-teaching method. This cutting edge program aims at exposing young learners to new skillsets and knowledge required in the future tech workforce. The program was launched in 2018, and although faced some challenges through the pandemic, has already educated more than 2300 students across 14 high schools in BC.

2022 saw the launch of Google Grow and Google Career Certificates, offered through Coursera. "These online educational programs are focused on helping learners land jobs that are in high demand, including in digital marketing, IT support, data analytics, project management, and UX design. More than 300,000 people have graduated from Google’s Career Certificates program, and 75% of these grads report they’ve found a new job, higher pay, or a promotion within six months of completing of the program."
