THE TEAM

Liana Ranallo is the founder and CEO of ExploreVR. She is a K-7 EdTech and Music Specialist teacher with a background in Physical Education. She believes technology in the classroom needs to be an immersive experience that inspires creativity and engages learners in active learning. When Liana wanted to bring Virtual Reality to her own school, she witnessed first hand the challenges of cost, training and other barriers that hindered the process. The future of EdTech lies with immersive technologies, and with her vision, she developed ExploreVR in the hopes of bringing 21st Century learning to classrooms across British Columbia.

VISION
PASSION
Liana is currently completing her Masters of Educational Technology at The University of British Columbia. Her passion for bringing exciting and unique new learning opportunities to her students inspired her to further expand her skillset and knowledge in this field. Her unique blend of Technology training with her background in Physical Education and Music, has inspired her to want to turn Technology upside down and make it a more active, engaging and less sedentary experience. Healthy bodies help create healthy minds and her commitment to developing healthy, active and happy children is at the forefront of this venture.
Our vision at exploreVR is to create in-class virtual reality learning opportunities that allow students to experience places and concepts that they would otherwise be unable to. Bringing VR to schools with trained VR instructors eliminates training barriers in classrooms. It also allows schools to provide new, engaging learning experiences to reluctant learners and students who have unequal access to innovative technologies. We want to be the face of VR in the British Columbia Education system and beyond.
