Reflection

Upon completing a thorough analysis of the Osmo EdTech learning tool, I have a strengthened my understanding of the key factors that make this product a stand alone in the inundated EdTech industry. Using the SWOT Analysis, I was able to identify the strengths of the Osmo product, features that led to its acquisition by prominent multinational EdTech company, Byju's. The process of conducting this analysis has been insightful in recognizing the multinational players that are at the forefront of the EdTech industry. With the support of over 50 reputable global investors, Byju's $22 billion valuation is a reason for investors to be excited about the future of the growing Osmo product line. Due to its proprietary features, uniqueness in the market and room for expansion in international markets, I would strongly recommend Osmo for its growth potential and market differentiation.

I firmly believe that in order to invest in a product, you must believe in the product's abilities, uses and what it stands for. As a parent and educator, I recognize the need for children to be engaging in more hands-on play and less sedentary, isolated screen time. With my physical education background, I am a strong proponent of active learning and the development of healthy minds and bodies. There is a growing number of students experiencing cognitive learning challenges, as well as as social/emotional developmental delays. Osmo's exclusive concept of "phygital" (physical and digital) play, is designed to increase student engagement, motivation and success.  I can confidently support Osmo's mission to getting kids to experience more interactive learning in the pursuit of improving the overall well-being of our children.  I believe there is room in the EdTech market to include more innovation in combining physical activity with EdTech tools. The children are our future. It is up to educators, parents and corporations to invest wisely in our future.
